Formed in 2005, the citizen-based Technopolis Clovis Core Committee (TC3) is an organic outgrowth of Clovis' core values and its proud history of innovation. The committee consists of community citizens, staff of the Clovis Community Development Agency (CCDA), and consulting firm Key Writing Concepts, Inc.

In the first phase of its work, which began in August 2005, TC3 developed preliminary goals and objectives and a Concept Development Plan Outline.

Using its analysis of what constitutes "A Place Called Clovis," TC3 began to identify disciplines that would be part of the technopolis and the challenges and opportunities in building the educational, entrepreneurial, cultural opportunities and other support required to foster the technopolis environment.

During Phase III, TC3 developed a Concept Development Plan that can be downloaded here. In addition, TC3 conducted two symposia events, one held July 19, 2007 and the other in October 30, 2007.

In July of 2007, several members of TC3 traveled to Barcelona, Spains, for the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) conference. Four papers submitted by TC3 were published; one was presented
